It seemed like just when things were going proper the tables turned. I undoubtedly enjoyed the parts about Lily/Ruby being a Vegas Showgirl and all of the craziness that entailed. Also gratifying to me have been the friendships and relationships, many good, some not, but all nicely developed and credible. There was just enough occurring in each to keep it interesting with none eye rolling on my half. I’m not so sure the relationship between Jack and the Aviator was absolutely needed, however it seems most novels today throw in a kind of for good measure.
